    Conference Planning

    Based on their experience in attending and participating in conferences and workshops, as well as serving as members of conference planning committees, CAPA members Anne Dooley, Catherine Hofstetter, Cheryl Koehn and Anne Lyddiatt created a Conference Planning Checklist to help ensure access of people living with arthritis and other disabilities to all such events.     A Parent’s Checklist for JIA and Beginning School Years

    Based on lengthy experience as a Resource and Special Needs teacher, CAPA member and JIA patient, Delia Cooper, has written a parent’s guide for supporting a child with JIA during his/her early years at school. This guide provides many helpful suggestions to make the initial transition to school, the yearly September entrance, as well as the daily work and educational expectations, positive and rewarding experiences for all parties involved.
