It’s farewell, not goodbye

Dear members of CAPA,

Today is the last that I will serve as your CAPA secretariat, and I want to wish you all a fond farewell. I've had the privilege of contributing to the development of CAPA, and of serving in the role of secretariat since CAPA's inception in August of 2001. It's been a pleasure and inspiration to know you, to work with you, and to have witnessed the development of an organization in a few short years that has earned the reputation of being a leader in informed health advocacy. Your dedication, talent and hard work have achieved a very great deal. I'm confident that the unique organization that is CAPA will continue to flourish, and that the voice of CAPA will grow ever stronger on behalf of people living with arthritis. You are an inspiration.

Next Monday I will begin my new job as Director of Health Policy with Ward Health Strategies. In a great many ways, my association with CAPA has provided me with opportunities and learning experiences that have helped prepare me for my new role. I'm looking forward to new challenges and the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a different area of health information. Rest assured, however, that I shall remain a loyal associate member of CAPA. I will miss you, but I look forward to continued collaborations with CAPA in our mutual effort to improve the health of Canadians living with arthritis.

Warmest regards,

Lisa Cirella
